Nestled between Swithland woods and Cropston reservoir, this pretty village is home to some beautiful properties, many with renowned Swithland Slate on their roof.

A fabulous base to start a walk through the local countryside or maybe the woods, around the reservoir or further afield into Bradgate park. But, no good walk would be complete without a stop off at the village pub and Swithland has one of the best, The Griffin. Owned by England and Nottinghamshire cricketers Stuart Broad and Harry Gurney.

A lovely place to visit but a wonderful place to call home, Swithland is equipped for families with the highly regard St Leonard’s C of E primary school.
