Martyn loves walking through Charnwood especially if there is a country pub along the way. Apart from five years living in North Norfolk he has always chosen Charnwood to be his home. He has worked in all estate agency roles since commencing his career in 1999. Known for his passion, drive and commitment to complete a challenge, Martyn is a multi-award-winning estate agent who has helped many home moves across Leicestershire, the East Midlands and East Anglia.
In addition to his day-to-day practice, Martyn has worked in a voluntary capacity to improve the image of estate agency with the industry trade association Propertymark.
Following being voted by estate agents across the UK to represent them, Martyn became the youngest ever President of Propertymark in 2015. Throughout his term he toured the country meeting with estate agents and sharing their best practice whilst establishing an encyclopaedic knowledge of estate agency along the way. He twice represented the UK at The National Association of Relators conference in the USA and met with and advised the Japanese Government on their developing housing market. Martyn has sat on industry focus groups at both National and Government level providing insight and evidence which fed into property transaction reform committees. Now known as the Regulation of Property Agents (ROPA).
A regular commentator on the property market, Martyn has been heard on local and national radio as well as commenting within national press including The Times, The Telegraph, The Daily Mail and online publications such as BBC news and This Is Money. He writes for the Home Staging magazine and has a weekly podcast House of Property.
Martyn’s proven track record has enabled him to become a trainer for some of the leading estate agents, auction and mortgage businesses across the UK.
